Notes for Administrators
The Navigate Pro app normally connects to your Public IP address on port 5000 that is forwarded to the SpliceCom phone system gateway. However when you are in your office, on your office network this forwarding may not work, you then need to use the Internal IP address of the SpliceCom phone system gateway.
So your users don't need to keep changing the IP address in their app, you need to make a couple of new DNS records:
and on your internal DNS server set <YourOrganisation>.cticom.ms to point to the Internal IP address of the SpliceCom phone system gateway.
Your users then enter <YourOrganisation>.cticom.ms into the "Address" setting in the iPCS app
Registry Access
If your computers are locked down then you may need to tweak some Registry settings. Navigate Pro needs the user to have read and write accesses to some Registry folders, in particular:
- Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Splicecom
- Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Splicecom
To allow Navigate Pro to auto-startup it needs access to NavigateSfbAutoStartupWithoutSfb in
- Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows
If you are running under RDS you need to set the EnableSoftphoneInRds key to have a value of 1 in
- Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Splicecom\NavigatePro\UserPref
For Developer mode go into Settings -> User Configeration press and hold SHIFT then type IDDQD release SHIFT and you have the Developer tab
