Why is my Internet rubbish?

Many people complain their Internet connect is rubbish, yet they are relying on the basic router that is in sat in the corner of another room and was provided free when they signed up. Of course that's not going to give them the best experience, but what to do?

What type of Internet connection can I get?

Why is my Wi-Fi rubbish?

With age your PC will slow down and become less responsive. Here are some thing you can change to improve it's performance.

How do I tidy up my data cabinet?

Look at the layout of your cabinet, are all the panels at the top & the active (powered) kit lower down, mixing phone and data cables together? If so then the patch panels are common to both sets of the active equipment so move them to the middle then leads don’t need to cross over each other – Up to voice and down to data. Patch the leads out so they go round the active equipment and if necessary you can just slide out old / faulty hardware without having to fight through lots of spaghetti. If you have gone to VoIP phones you can patch out all ports, have a very tidy cabinet and not need to touch it in the future.... see more

How do I Hot Desk / Log-on onto a Yealink phone?

If the phone has a user dial *3<extension number>*<user code> press OK

If the phone says OFFline, dial extension number, press the Down arrow, dial user code, press OK

To log out dial *3 press OK
