Avaya IP Office Handsets

The IP Office supports analogue, DS (Digital Station) system and IP Phones, some of the IP phone require a licence to work with the Avaya IP Office. Avaya IP phone look and operate identically to their DS equivalent.

SpliceCom Phones

SpliceCom systems normally work with standard analogue phones, but to make things easier they have had some specially programmed with quick access to popular functions and screen printed with the voicemail instructions. Splicecom also work with IP phones, and have developed some phones specially for their phone system.

Headsets

When selecting a headset you have to consider a number of points:

1. Is the user just going to be on the phone or talking to people in the same room. If just using the phone then it’s best to select binaural – two ears.
2. How noisy is it in the room, if there are a lot of people talking then a Noise Cancelling microphone will help the callers here the user more clearly.
3. To what telephone is it going to be connected, fortunately there a standard connection on most phones, unfortunately it’s wired differently on many phones, some also need amplification, so as well as a headset you need a bottom cord from the headset manufacturer to connect to the individual telephone.
4. Will the headset be used by a number of people? If so then you could have interchangeable voicetubes and ear donuts.
5. Will the person be walking around, as you can have a cordless headset.
